CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

Types of stains, pre and post-eruptive causes of discoloration, indication and contraindication of teeth whitening, cases with guarded prognosis.

Learn about a systematic way to examine soft and hard tissue and diagnose the cause of discoloration. See how doing so will impact overall treatment outcome.

Understand the commonly used bleaching agents Hydrogen peroxide, Carbamide peroxide and sodium perborate and their reactions to determine how they act on stains. Students will also learn about the types of products available over the counter, their mechanisms of action and the risks associated with them.

Dr. Sidra Munir BDS

Dr. Sidra Munir is a General Dentist at Dentifix Clinic in Islamabad. Her journey began as a part-time practitioner starting in August 2020, transitioning to a full-time commitment from August 2022 up to the present. She is dedicated to delivering comprehensive dental care by providing a range of essential services.

Beyond clinical duties, her commitment to patient welfare is reflected in fostering a patient-centric approach, ensuring personalized care and effective communication.

Dr. Sidra Munir also currently serves as a C- Restorative Dentistry & Endodontics Facilitator at the Professional Institute of Dental Education (PIDE) in Islamabad.

Since October 2022, she has been actively engaged in conducting comprehensive sessions designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of dental professionals. These sessions are focused on dental bleaching techniques, adhesion protocols, as well as anterior and posterior composite restorations, ensuring a thorough understanding of aesthetic and restorative aspects in dentistry. Additionally, she facilitates specialized hands-on sessions on basic endodontics.
