MEET THE EDUCATOR
Dr. Richard Schlossberg DDS
Dr. Richard Schlossberg is a veteran dentist with close to 50 years of experience practicing in the state of Maryland, USA, having owned a private dental practice for 46 years working alongside a dedicated group of full time team members who were the heart and soul of the practice.
In 1968, Dr. Schlossberg graduated with a B.A. from the University of Maryland and then proceeded to earn his DDS from the Howard University College of Dentistry located in Washington, DC. Shortly after, from 1972-1974, he became a part of the US Naval Academy in Norfolk, Virginia where he served as a lieutenant and conducted dental operations during the Vietnam War period.
Upon returning to Maryland, Dr. Schlossberg opened his own private dental practice in Baltimore County, where he and several associates worked alongside a team of eight full-time staff. From 1974-2017, the team provided patients with a variety of treatment options for general dentistry, orthodontics, and prosthetics.
As of 2017, Dr. Schlossberg has retired from owning and operating his clinic and now serves as a part of the University of Maryland’s Dean’s Faculty. Additionally, he volunteers at the Access Carroll Dental Clinic, which is operated by the University of Maryland’s College of Dentistry.
With his decades of practical professional experience and vast knowledge of the American dental industry, Dr. Schlossberg became a dental consultant for the Berklee Research Group starting in the Fall of 2021 and continuing into the present. He provides valuable insight through analysis of patient dental charts to support possible acquisition of dental practices.
