ARE YOU AN UP AND COMING DENTAL GRADUATE OR A RECENT DENTAL GRADUATE WHO FEELS LOST AND NOT SURE WHERE TO PROCEED NEXT WITH FINDING THEIR CAREER?

Experienced dental practitioner, practice owner, and educator Dr. Richard Schlossberg presents the first in a series of courses designed around helping senior dental students and dental school graduates who are looking to do any of the following in the next major phase of their professional lives:

FORMULATE AN EXIT STRATEGY

After graduating from dental school, there is a lot to figure out on your own that is simply not taught to you by your professors. To avoid setting yourself up for disappointment, you need to craft a plan, what we call an "exit" strategy.

NAVIGATE THE COMMON PATHS

Becoming an associate or owning a dental practice are the mainstream career options that are taught to dental school students around the world. However, not everyone can get into or afford these starting out!

UNDERSTAND THE OTHER OPTIONS

If you don't want to be an associate, own a dental practice, or build up a dental practice from scratch, what can you do? Dr. Schlossberg will reveal his best choices for young dentists looking towards something different.

FIND A SOURCE OF CONFIDENCE THAT WILL FIT WITH YOUR UNIQUE STRENGTHS AND ENABLE YOU TO ENHANCE YOUR DENTAL CAREER DOWN THE ROAD

This brief course will go over six different possibilities for your exit strategy from dental school, giving graduating dental school seniors directions to start planning their dental futures. All of the possibilities discussed will help you to gain practical, extended training as a dental professional.

Shortly after, from 1972-1974, he became a part of the US Naval Academy in Norfolk, Virginia where he served as a lieutenant and conducted dental operations during the Vietnam War period.

Upon returning to Maryland, Dr. Schlossberg opened his own private dental practice in Baltimore County, where he and several associates worked alongside a team of eight full-time staff. From 1974-2017, the team provided patients with a variety of treatment options for general dentistry, orthodontics, and prosthetics.

As of 2017, Dr. Schlossberg has retired from owning and operating his clinic and now serves as a part of the University of Maryland’s Dean’s Faculty. Additionally, he volunteers at the Access Carroll Dental Clinic, which is operated by the University of Maryland’s College of Dentistry.
