THE SAFE USAGE OF THE INSTRUMENTS TOO OFTEN COMPROMISES THE RESULTS.

We teach the use of 30º oscillating stainless steel relieved reamers at an engine-driven frequency of 3000-4000 cycles per minute that eliminates instrument breakage, allowing the dentist to vigorously apply the instruments to all the canal walls, cleansing them in three-dimensions without any visible signs of distortion even in highly curved canals. This technique eliminates all hand fatigue from start to finish, allows for their multiple uses with great cost savings, and is far less likely to induce dentinal micro cracks that can lead to vertical fracture.

MEET THE EDUCATOR

Dr. Barry Lee Musikant DMD

Dr. Barry Lee Musikant is the President, Co-Director of Dental Research, and Co-Founder of Essential Dental Systems (EDS), a dental manufacturing company located in South Hackensack, NJ. The company's roots stem from the desire for product improvements to the items of focus in Dr. Musikant's lectures and daily practice. 

After much research and development, the patented Flexi-Post and Ti-Core were produced to meet his needs and today are the number one post and core build-up in the United States and Canada. Dr. Musikant is also the co-developer of the SafeSiders and EZ-Fill bi-directional spiral, which is the quickest and most economical instrumentation and obturation system on the market today.

His career first started when Dr. Musikant attended the University of Pennsylvania, receiving his B.A. in 1965 and D.M.D. in 1969. An internship at the Jewish Memorial Hospital (1969-1970) and Endodontic residence at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center (1970-1972) completed his post-graduate studies.

He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists, Academy of General Dentistry, The Dental Society of NY, First District Dental Society, Academy of Oral Medicine, Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, and the American Society of Dental Aesthetics. He is also a fellow of the American College of Dentistry (FACD).

Dr. Musikant also conducts lectures for Essential Dental Seminars, which is a division of Essential Dental Systems. He offers a variety of continuing education sessions teaching techniques for Instrumentation, Obturation, and Restoration. All Essential Dental Seminars are ADA and AGD approved and recognized. The opportunities brought about by his lectures and scheduling have taken Dr. Musikant to over 250 international and domestic locations.

His dynamic speaking style and ability to direct dentists to the very heart of stress-free techniques is what sets him apart. It is often said that he introduces logic and common sense that is undeniable.

A major part of Dr. Musikant’s career is his work in developing key innovations in dentistry, both in terms of scientific research and technology. He has co-authored over 350 articles in dentistry in major dental journals, domestically as well as internationally. He also holds 19 patents for co-inventing revolutionary Endodontic Obturation, Instrumentation, Post and Composite Systems.

Dr. Musikant’s 50-plus years of clinical experience have crafted him into one of the top authorities in Endodontics.
